Travelers around the world visit Tagaytay, Philippines to see it’s main attraction, the Taal Volcano, located in province of Batangas, Philippines. It is the world’s smallest active volcano and last recorded eruption was on 1977.
I have worked in Tagaytay for more than 2 years, in one of the prestige real estate. Most prospects buyers in Tagaytay are looking for the property with the view of Taal Volcano, no matter how expensive it is.
Last January 12, 2020, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and some areas in Manila were experienced ash fall coming from Taal Volcano. No one knew and warned that there will be a possible volcanic eruption. The Volcano is in the Alert level 4. areas nearby are experiencing strong earthquakes and cracks on the grounds. The busy and lively place of Tagaytay and batangas are like a ghost town right know, no electricity and water supply.
Talisay is one of the closest town to Taal Lake and Volcano. Right now, the town is off-limits and forcing the people to leave there places because of possible volcanic eruption. Evacuees from the town were brought to other places outside the danger zone.
